Waimea Canyon is like Kauai's take on the Grand Canyon albeit a half-pint version only 10 miles long and 3,000 feet deep. Paths inside the canyon are hot, sweaty, and filled with thorny leaves that rake unprotected arms and legs. Numerous look outs from the canyon walls give panoramic shots along with much appreciated breezes.
