Welcome to The Smoking Camera Photography website. My name is Joe Marquez and I am a photographer in beautiful Hawaii. My goal is to make this a fun, lively and colorful website for your enjoyment. Please feel free to leave a comment or two.
I am fortunate to live in picturesque Hawaii with so many unique photographic opportunities. These include North Shore Surfing at Pipeline, Humpback Whales in Maui, Hula in Waikiki as well as the natural scenery and landscapes of Maui, Kauai, the Big Island and Oahu.
In addition, I attend many culturally diverse events, festivals and performances in Honolulu and Waikiki. These include Bollywood Nights, Floating Lanterns, Bellydancing, Tango and more.
My photography interests have also taken me to Peru, Ecuador, Machu Picchu, the Galapagos Islands, New York City, Chicago and New Orleans. Earlier this year I attended the the annual Carnival in Venice, Italy and photographed dozens of spectacular masks of Venice with the help of Silvano Candeo, the famous Italian photographer.
